Portraits honor community veterans
The Mamaroneck Public Library is showcasing “The Veterans Project,” an all-day event on July, 25, 2014. The Reilly League of Artists launched The Veteran’s Project to honor veterans in the community.
Portraits were painted of individuals from all branches of the armed services, from different types of service, representing all races and both genders. A selection of paintings from the project will be shown at the Mamaroneck Library, where the paintings will be available for purchase.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the veteran focused “Project Heal” at Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities, a group that helps returning vets cope with PTSD and other issues.
