Women’s History Month celebration

Platinum Panthers: Women considered elderly who changed the course of history.

Auditions

The Westchester Sandbox Theatre announces auditions for its YPT Teens production of “Aida,” directed by executive director
Dan Ferrante.

Auditions are open to performers in grades 7 through 12 and will take place on Sunday, March 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Tuesday, April 1, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Westchester Sandbox Theatre.

Performers should prepare a song for auditions and bring sheet music. A registration fee of $395 is due at the first rehearsal. Performances are May 29 through June 1.

Help bring 3D printing and design to Rye

The Rye Arts Center has launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to support its innovative STEM+Arts program.

Money raised will be used to purchase a 3D MakerBot printer, materials, curriculum
and training.

Goal: $4,000

Book signing at Anderson’s Book Shop

On March 22, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Larchmont resident, Kostya Kennedy will be having a book signing at Anderson’s Book Shop.

Kostya’s latest book is “Pete Rose” which examines the life of the polarizing sports legend, from his record-setting career, to being banished from the game for being an unrepentant gambler and discusses the complex moral issues keeping him out of Cooperstown in a time of steroid cheats.

Kostya Kennedy, is an assistant managing editor at Sports Illustrated and is The New York Times bestselling author of “56: Joe DiMaggio and the Last Magic Number in Sports.”

Real estate career seminar

Weichert, Realtors located at 2090 Boston Post Road in Larchmont offers a complimentary information session on embarking upon a career in residential real estate sales.

Topics covered include the process of obtaining a real estate license, a discussion of different educational options as well as a description of daily activities of both part-time and full-time real estate sales agents.

The seminars will be held on Monday evenings at 6 p.m. on March 24 and March 31.

Real estate school scholarships may be available for qualified candidates.

Formula One Driving School located at 584 Mamaroneck Ave. Mamaroneck has the 5-hour prelicensing class scheduled for Saturday, March 22, at 10 a.m.; Wednesday, March 26, at 4 p.m.; Saturday, March 29, at 10 a.m.; Sunday, April 6, at 10 a.m.; Wednesday, April 9, at 4 p.m.; Saturday, April 12, at 10 a.m.; Saturday, April 19, at 10 a.m.; Wednesday, April 23, at 4 p.m.; Saturday, April 26, at 10 a.m.
