At 6:05 p.m., police responded to a call reporting young adults rollerblading on the tennis courts in Florence Park. When police arrived at the scene, the rollerbladers had already left.
At 11:12 p.m., three men and one woman were issued village code summons for being in Columbus Park during prohibited hours. The park closed at 10 p.m. One of the men was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
A 40-year-old man from the Village of Mamaroneck was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at 11:09 p.m. on Halstead Avenue. The man was yelling obscenities and refused to comply with the responding police officers’ instructions. The man was due in court on June 26.
Police responded to a call of an unknown man attempting to take items without paying from a store located on Mamaroneck Avenue at 11:20 p.m. The man fled after punching someone at the location. On July 15, a 45-year-old Mamaroneck man was arrested and charged with petit larceny and harassment in the second degree from the incident. He was due in court July 17.
A caller reported a hit-and-run accident on Mamaroneck Avenue at 10:03 a.m. The caller reported a bicyclist was down after being struck by a car, described as a white Acura with New York license plates. The car fled northbound on Mamaroneck Avenue following the collision and the 16-year-old bicyclist from the Village of Mamaroneck was taken to the hospital. Police are investigating the accident.
Police responded to a call reporting a burglary at a business on West Boston Post Road at 10:12 a.m. An unknown person entered the closed business and reportedly took approximately $1,800 cash.
A woman reported to police at 9:38 p.m. an unknown person entered the bathroom at Harbor Island Park and took her handbag, which contained two cell phones, personal papers and an unknown amount of cash.
Police arrested three men at 9:35 p.m. on Old White Plains Road. A 22-year-old man from New Rochelle was issued a village code summons for possession of an open container of alcohol and was due in court July 1. A 21-year-old man from Larchmont was charged with possession of a gambling device while gambling with money and was released on $250 bail and due in court July 10. A 26-year-old Village of Mamaroneck man was charged with possession of a gambling device, exposure for urinating in public and unlawful possession of marijuana. He was released on $250 bail and due in court July 10.
At 7:47 p.m., police responded to a call reporting an unknown person entered a business on Mamaroneck Avenue and took a Maltipoo puppy, valued at $1,000.
A man called police at 12:02 a.m. to report an unknown person entered his unlocked vehicle parked on Mamaroneck Avenue and took his iPad, valued at approximately $700.
A 29-year-old Mamaroneck man walked into police headquarters at 3:28 a.m. to report a person known to him punched him in his face while he was sleeping, causing pain and swelling. The incident is under investigation.
Police arrested a 49-year-old Massachusetts woman for theft of services. At 5:57 p.m., police were called to the scene on Mamaroneck Avenue after the woman refused to pay her cab fare. The woman was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after police found Alprazolam pills in her possession without a prescription.
At 11:20 a.m., a man reported to police than an unknown person took a beach chair from his vehicle while he was parked on Fenimore Road. The beach chair is valued at approximately $50.
Police responded to the scene of a fight on Mamaroneck Avenue at 6:21 p.m. A 29-year-old man from Tarrytown was struck by a 47-year-old man from Rye and was taken to the hospital for treatment for a laceration to his lip. The Rye man was charged with assault in the third degree and was due in court July 11.
A Mamaroneck man reported to police at 2:12 a.m. an unknown person took his motorcycle from a parking lot on Grand Street. The motorcycle is valued at approximately $8,000.
Police officers received a call reporting a white male operating a Ford F-150 pickup truck with a ladder on it took mail from the caller’s mailbox and left trash at the location on Mt. Pleasant Avenue. The pickup truck fled north on Mamaroneck Avenue. On July 15, a 35-year-old male from Stratford, Conn., was arrested and charged with petit larceny for taking mail not belonging to him. He was due in court July 17.
