On Oct. 26, the New Rochelle Huguenots were bounced from the Class AA playoffs when they fell to North Rockland 13-10 in a wild overtime match-up.

The Huguenots and Red Raiders played their second game in as many weeks against each other and could not have been more evenly matched. Last week, the Huguenots earned a last-second 21-20 victory over North Rockland, but the Red Raiders were able to return the favor this week on an eight-yard touchdown pass from Nick Imperato to Samuel Pierre-Louis.

New Rochelle’s lone score in regulation came on a run from senior Jon Forrest, who finished the day with 117 yards on 32 carries. Freddy Sandoval briefly gave the Huguenots the lead in overtime, connecting for a 37-yard field goal, but Rockland’s score on the ensuing possession sealed the deal for New Ro. The Red Raiders will go on to play RC Ketcham on Nov. 2 at 1:30 p.m.
