Kevin Lencki, 51, approached a group of children at Preston Elementary School on April 13, when the alleged incident occurred. Lencki, who lives across the street from the school, was arrested the following day on four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, was issued a restraining order pertaining to the four children and was released on $100 bail with a court date scheduled for
May 20.

After arresting Lencki, police interviewed him about the incident. He admitted making statements to the children how his genital region resembled a lion’s mane and made reference to a lewd incident he heard over the radio to the kids.

In a statement from Louis Wool, Harrison Central School District superintendent, the incident, which occurred during the spring recess for the schools, should serve as a reminder to
parents.

“While the school district’s authority only extends to its property and/or during the school day, this incident is a reminder to monitor your children carefully, both after the school day and on
weekends,” Wool said.

Lencki has no prior arrest history, according to authorities.
