Liebert is also the founder and executive vice president of the Rosalind Franklin Society, which recognizes and advances important contributions made by women in the life sciences.
“Stem cells hold enormous promise in so many areas of medicine and surgery,” Liebert said. “This most important summit exemplifies the urgent need for a broad, global coalition to advance its research and application–the researchers, regulators, investors, clinicians, and members of the public and private sectors. Patients and the public at large need to understand the promise of stem cell research and clinical usage and urge support for ongoing and new initiatives. I salute the Genetics Policy Institute for bringing these constituents together, and I am honored to receive this prestigious award.”
